The Taboadella wines produced in the Dão region are the latest project of the Amorim family, also producers of the world-famous Quinta Nova de Nossa Senhora do Carmo Douro wine brand.
Taboadella references date back to 1225, with the estate's houses nestled in a mixed forest of pine, oak and chestnut trees, surrounded by a secular garden that extends to the vineyard plots, planted in quartz-granite soils with low water retention capacity.
Here the Taboadella wines are born...
The range includes the Colheita - Villae White and Red - wood-free blend wines that highlight the character of Taboadella. Intense, delicately perfumed, lighter, with soft tannins and refreshing acidity;
Reserva wines are monovarietal wines (Jaen, Alfrocheiro, Touriga Nacional and Encruzado) resulting from a selection of plots that have proved to be very balanced allowing for unique and personalised wines;
And, the Grande Villae wines have a rare classic structure, a reference to the Taboadella's Roman era, a tribute to its ancestry.
